Job Summary
Hotel Collingwood in Bournemouth are looking for a proven, enthusiastic and hardworking Sous Chef to join our team. The Head Chef and his team pride themselves on delivering fresh, cooked to order meals for our guests. We are a 53 Bedroom Hotel with a busy restaurant serving staying guests and locals. We also cater for events and celebrations in our function room.
Duties & responsibilities
- Lead the rest of the kitchen team to success
- Offer support and keep a high morale with the the kitchen team and front of house team.
- Deliver food to spec, keeping consistent quality, and maintaining healthy stock and profit levels
- Stock ordering and planning
- Keep the kitchen to a 5 star standard of cleanliness and health and safety.
- Train new and existing team members.
- To develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with the rest of the team and other colleagues
- To report equipment faults and defects
- To attend all relevant training as and when required
